For all types of pigmentation concerns

Reveal a more even skin tone

From age spots to melasma to post-inflammatory pigmentation, at Deluxe Clinic in Slough we have a wealth of experience in treating pigmentation concerns and disorders. Pigmentation occurs when melanin (the skin’s pigment) is over-produced in certain spots/areas of the skin. It can be caused by a range of factors including sun damage, hormonal factors and trauma to the skin (such as acne). That’s why it’s important to determine the cause with an in-depth consultation – this will help us to develop a pigmentation treatment plan that’s exactly right for you.

We take a longer-term approach to pigmentation problems and tailor-make individual treatment plans by combining different therapies to maximise potential results. As so many pigmentation problems are caused by over exposure to the sun, it’s absolutely essential to wear a sunscreen of at least SPF30 every day.

Potent peels

Our mandelic peel brings together a unique and potent combination of hibiscus alpha hydroxy acids with mandelic and azelaic acid to deeply exfoliate and help free hyperpigmentation, sun spots and sun damage.* Amino acids then support the skin’s restructuring process for a brighter complexion.

ZO 3 Step Peel is an innovative, in-office treatment peel targeting melasma, dark spots and pigmentation alongside other skin conditions. It utilises a blend of exfoliants, retinol and multi-action agents to significantly improve skin health. This includes boosting skin-barrier protection and the skin’s ability to repair and renew itself. It’s suitable for all skin types.

Light therapy

We also use intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy with the renowned Lynton Luminette laser system to target hyperpigmentation. All therapies are complemented with advanced cosmeceutical skincare to suit your skin type from our DermaQuest, Jan Marini Skin Research and ZO Obaji ranges.

Frequently asked questions

About pigmentation treatment at Deluxe Clinic

  1. What is a chemical peel?

These popular, non-invasive treatments are often used to rejuvenate and revive skin. They can also be effective in helping to treat sun damage and pigmentation problems.

Organic acids such as glycolic, salicylic, lactic and pumpkin gently exfoliate to remove the top layer of dead skin cells. This stimulates the renewal of healthy new skin cells in turn improving collagen production to help create a brighter and more even skin tone.*

  2. Will I need more than one chemical peel?

Pigmentation problems do not respond to ‘quick fix’ treatments. A course of peels is usually required and may be possibly combined with other treatments. We’ll talk this through in detail during your consultation.

  3. Are chemical peels safe?

Chemical peels are a very safe procedure but minor skin irritation is a risk. That’s why it’s important to follow our pre and post homecare regimes and advice. Full information and guidelines will be provided.

  4. What is intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy?

This advanced technology sends out a broad wavelength of light in short pulses which reaches the deeper layers of the skin. The light is absorbed by the darker pigmentation which is then dispersed for a more even skin tone.*

  5. Will I need more than one treatment?

Results are cumulative with this treatment. Most of our clients have 4- 6 treatments.

  6. Is IPL therapy painful?

Most of our clients find the procedure completely manageable. You may feel a pinching sensation but the technology’s cooling system ensures that the light never becomes too hot. There may be a slight stinging sensation immediately after treatment but this should quickly subside.
