Boost collagen for firmer, younger-looking skin
Micro-needling is an advanced treatment that uses a hand-held medical device to gently create micro-punctures and channels in the skin. This enables the treatment’s infusion of custom-blended serums to be better absorbed by the skin. It also triggers the body’s natural healing response, an essential part of which is the production of new collagen and elastin.* Collagen is a protein that gives skin its structure by holding skin cells together. When we are young we have it in abundance, but collagen breaks down as we age leaving skin looking less youthful. The treatment can be used to target fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, age spots, acne scarring and stretch marks. Its ability to help skin repair itself makes micro-needling a more natural anti-ageing treatment that’s minimally invasive. Yet the precision engineering and scientific research behind the procedure are at the core of its efficacy. With very little downtime and the opportunity to build cumulative longer-term results, our expertise in this exciting, results-based innovation make it the perfect choice for many of our clients.*

Frequently Asked Questions
About micro-needling at Deluxe Clinic
What is micro-needling?
This advanced anti-ageing treatment makes micro-punctures in the skin through a hand-held medical device with tiny needles. The micro-punctures (or channels) enable the skin to better absorb the infusion of serums used in the treatment. It also triggers a healing response, part of which involves the production of new collagen and elastin. These proteins help build and maintain healthy skin. They also help to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and restore radiance*
What is micro-needling used for?
This versatile treatment is often used to rejuvenate ageing skin. It can help to improve the appearance of facial and décolletage lines and wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and sun-damaged skin.*
Is the treatment painful?
We are highly experienced in making this procedure as comfortable as possible. Your practitioner will apply a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) before treatment to keep discomfort to a minimum.*
Are there any side effects?
There is very little downtime with this procedure. Your skin will be red and flushed immediately after treatment and you might notice some skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch. This will last for around 24 to 36 hours.* It’s important to use sunscreen during this time.
When will I see results?
The body’s natural healing responses take a little time but you can expect to see results in up to 6 weeks. As the response continues over the following months, you should be able to look forward to natural, long-lasting results.*
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone is different and we’ll talk this through in detail during your consultation. Usually, we recommend around 6 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart.
